Do any UK forum members have recent experience of selling pre 1920 & pre 1947 scrap silver coin?
I can't find anywhere paying much more than £10 an ounce, which seems a bit slim given the current spot price. Or am I just being greedy?

I sold about 4 kilos last month and got about £400/kilo (pure weight). That was about £70 less than spot at the time (I can't remember the exact figures). You have to remember that the person you are selling to needs a margin as well, as does the bullion dealer where it ends up. Nobody pays full spot price or anywhere near it!

Well, I've kept my silver for the moment and probably will do so for the future. It looks to keep on rising.
Molydeii, have you been over to London yet?
