My uncle gave me a few canadian coins, and I was wondering where online is the best place to figure out what they're made of, and prices of collector coins. Thanks in advance for your help.

It might be worth your while to take a charlton catalogue out from your local library.

I would recommend Canadian Coin News to you. I realize it's not an online source, however, it is a great resource. It may be hard to find in your area, though. In the back you'll find a section called Trends, where a respected numismatist lists current prices accumulated from shows and auctions. It's the most up-to-date price list you'll find in Canada, correct me if I'm wrong.

Perhaps some kind Canadian can pass along some recent issues to you.

These guides generally give you a "best case" scenario. You can get more of sense of what a non-dealer is getting by searching "Completed items" in ebay and subtracting the fees.
