While attending the Laughlin, NV. Show yesterday, I spoke with a dealer and we were discussing TPG's. He told me he opened an OBW roll of 1937 Mercury dimes and hand picked 3 blazers to send to PCGS. He was confident that they would get at a minimum MS65 with one having a good shot at 66.
Well, he received his coins back from PCGS and here were his grades: (this was before the Genuine holders)
MS64
MS64
Bodybagged, cleaned.

Not at all amazing to me, just thought I'd share that.

they came back graded as 'cleaned", or was that just a figure of speech.

and wow, OBW mercs. that must have been fun to search

he should send them back in...

Yeah, he should have. He did strike me as kind of strange, like he hates the TPG's, so, I don't know how credible he was.
