Hello,
What are your opinions on ANACS? or more specifically, ANACS graded Canadian coins.
Thanks

I trust them, but have seen only a very limited number of examples. But so far I like them more than ICCS.

Is ANACS is highly recognized, in both American and Canadian markets?

Personally, I don't have a real problem with ANACS grading of Canadian coins and I own a few. The problem lies in selling the coins. ANACS just doesn't have much recognition with Canadian buyers. When taking into account that I want to sell the stuff sometime, my order of preference for my Canadian collection is PCGS, CCCS, then ICCS.

When going to coin shows buyers pay more for coins graded by ICCS than anyone else but resale values trends in canadian coins always goes by ICCS grading.

Quote: Is ANACS recognized as a highly recognized and reliable company in America? ANACS is fairly respected in the US market. It's not on the same level as PCGS or NGC, even though it used to be (when it was run by the ANA). It's considered 2nd tier, although I'd say it is much, MUCH more respected than other 2nd tier graders like ICG.

PCGS is in the business to please it CLCT shareholders so they would grade coins to have the seller gain a greater profit. So they are not as conservative as ANACS or NGC.
