The glare is too much. LOL It's like looking for mountains on sun. But I think what you are seeing is either die movement or coin contact. I've seen this many times. Check to see if there is any Machine Doubling on the other devices. They catch your eye because of the DD's for this and other years, but I feel this is not one of them. If you suspect a coin is a doubled die, turn the coin 180 degrees for the best images. The light should flow over the doubled area and not reflect as all you see is glare. Try this and post another image and see what is there.

The last image is best. But I see nothing doubled there. Then angle of the lobe to field just makes it appear that there is something there when there is really nothing. You might try difusing your light some. It spreads the light out and reduces glare. Depending what light source you are using would be the determination of which way to go about it.

Just using the standard light from the scope , I could not figure out your mighty light set up

Is the light hot? If not you might try using a piece of grocery (plastic) bag to diffuse the light. I use a hard quarter tube to diffuse my light. It cuts down the glare. I have an unwanted light also in the room, so I use anything to block it. Even a piece of paper will do the job.
