Its just a pair of stickers. I'll bet some other little kid decorated it and it got lost in the family Coinstar destined jar.

That is pretty neat that your son found this, and it has had a very positive affect on him. It's a coin he loves and is proud of, and that is all that should matter.

My son loves sponge bob, but calls him Bob Bob since he's only 2. I didn't know these were out there!
