I have heard from several sources that the quality of the 2010 ASE proofs have been pretty bad and alot of people have been sending them back. Has anyome experienced bad quality in here. |

all but 1 of mine look perfect to me and that one is just a little break in frost. I haven't heard of anyone else having problems but if there are any I got lucky this time because I can't see any nick or even any breaks in the frost on 19 of mine and the 1 that does its on the Reverse right at the top of the shield and hard to see. I only looked through my 10x loupe so didn't get microscopic on them or anything but mine look great

I'll be sending 1 out of 5 back. It has some rust? spots on the reverse on/near the rim (looks like it is corroded) about 6mm x 2mm. And the obverse looks like it had a ring along the rim about 3mm in. The other 4 look okay.

Mine looked ok except for the little peice of lint on the inside of the holder.

I have not received mine yet either. I'll report when they arrive. I have heard the same thing about the quality though. I think the mint will be flooded with returns on these.

Got my 2 today and they both look pretty flawless to the naked eye. One looked like it had a spot, but it's actually a small piece of debris (paper/lint) inside the holder...I'd pluck it out, if I knew how to open the capsule. Hmmm.

I received all five of my 2010 proof SAEs today and gave them thorough look over under the lens and only one of them even has a chance of falling to PR69, the other four are absolutely perfect. One coin has two pin point shiny spots on Liberty but is otherwise flawless. I may get a couple of them graded just to have bragging rights in my own mind. I will post some images once I get them scanned.
