Definitely Machine Doubling. Textbook examples I might add!

Really nice examples of Machine Doubling. Any time you see doubling on both the date and mint mark for pre 1990 coins (your 1968-s example), it is a sure sign of Machine Doubling.
The shelf like appearance of the doubling is also a dead give away. Try to compare these examples with photo's of true doubled dies and you can start to learn the differences.

Thanks for you help. I think I am starting to see the difference. True doubling isn't as flat as Machine Doubling it seems. I know Machine Doubling doesn't hold much value but these both seem to have a tremendous amount of doubling which is why I thought at $1 each, why not add em to the collection. I like to collect the errors which you don;t have to squint into a loop to see, and both of these can be seen with the naked eye.
