We have 346 pounds of pennies to be rolled. Where do you suggest we try to get this done?

I would say the garage, you have more room out there.

Sorry.

Are these coins that you have roll searched and amassed? Just wondering if you have already checked them for varieties and errors, or plan to.

Hey Scooby We just want to get them rolled and let someone else worry about finding a nice coin. My eyesight is limited. We have an outlet for the coins once they are rolled.

My daughter rolls my coins for 5% of the dollar amount...but I'll bet she would change her mind if I dumped that many pennies on her ! Maybe your bank has a roller ?

If you belong to a credit union many let you use the coin counter for free. Then no rolling.

I don't really know how many pennies there are but the melt value is around $1200.00. The coins are in 5gal. water bottles. We were told that there about 50,000 pennies. Selling them by the roll we would realize a better profit margin. I just thought there was a service that could put them in a hopper and count and roll. Our bank will not do for us. We may be looking at a lot of copper having to roll all these pennies. BTW what is a shotgun roll?

As I rethink this one penny is 3.11 grams
takes 145 pennies to make a pound so
145 times 346 is 50,170 so you were told right Coin Chaser

We bought the contents of a failed business and found these when we were cleaning out the loft area. One plastic water bottle had the most of the pennies. Another had mixed change. The auctioneer did not know these coins were in the content of the bldg.

I purchased a rolling machine in Wal-mart for around 30 bucks and you can get penny rolls from Dollar Store pretty cheap. Will take some time with that many pennies but may be your only options.

So, this entire bottle is copper cents?

You said you have an outlet once they're rolled. I assume you don't mean a bank because you said you want to sell them by the roll.

If you're looking to sell them as copper, maybe you could just sell them by the pound. I see people on craigslist buying and selling copper cents by the lb.

If you are going to sell as copper then definitely sell by the pound...I've seen the larger amounts bring better prices on ebay ($100 FV or more)

I thought a shotgun roll was a roll of 25 cents. About the size of a shotgun shell
Can anybody claify this?
