hi guys,
I have got some UK cardboard mint sets, one Australian and a couple of US cellophane mint sets as well. I am considering breaking them down, removing them from their packaging and putting them inside capsules
they are not big bucks coins, they are not proof coins too. What would you do if you were me, keep them in cardboard, as issued, or put them in capsules?
which way protects them from toning, etc. better?

I'd remove them, especially if you're planning on putting them in air-tights. I had a lot mint packaged coins starting to (sometimes drastically) to tone along the edges where they contact the cardboard. There's a lot of chemistry going on there that mints didn't know about.

Might be a bit on the pessimistic side but I just don't trust and government packing in any country. Best not take chances and just move the coins to a safer place.
