I agree w/ DBM, it's value is still 9. Just like a narrow 8's value would be 8, etc...

I believe katers is talking about this. Quote: It's still 9,no matter how narrow it gets it will never approach 8.999999999999999..... Quote: I agree w/ DBM Have to tell you, fellas, that 8.99999... is not only approaching 9 but it exactly equals 9. Word of a Math teacher.

You call that asymptotic, don't you?

I do not know anything about narrow or fat ('s but I will say this. That is one fine looking coin even for a scan! Thanks for sharing Katers.

Katers... WHERE did you lift these Images? I believe They are NOT yours. If they are, I ask you to take more shots or scans and post them. should be easy, as you have coin in hand..... Otherwise my friend, YOU have a copyright problem with the owner of these images........ I believe you had them posted under another name in a forum before...

With the reflections and lack of detail from the photos, I can't tell you which variety that you have. You need diffuse, non-shadow, non-reflective lighting for coin pics. It is not a 9/8 or DP#1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 because I can't see any of the secoindary markers for those. Some beeter photos posted will help me. BTW, I was one of the small 4-5 person group that wrote/selected the coins for the variety section in the back of the 2011 Charlton
