The 1878 8TF VAM-19 is a common Variety, it is found frequently in PL and even DPL because it was the first die pair it shares Obverse dies with VAM-18,19 and 20 so it is understandable that since they are fresh dies that they will have some beautiful fields and be prooflike. It also shares the reverse with the VAM-23 which VAM-19 was the first die pair, the VAM-23 is a TOP100 coin. The Diamond Head is just the pedigree (the set the coin is from) and doesn't really mean that much to me so dont know if that is a popular set or not. As far as value the 8TF book says that in MS-63PL is worth 165-225, on vamlink.com it says its worth 150-225 in 63Pl so thats about all I know about it
