They do have some nice pictures of vams there, but I don't think anybody lives there anymore. I asked about an 1888 O back on the 21st, no answers and no new posts since mine. I did find the answer to mine while checking on an 1878 cc. At the bottom they mentioned about clashed mint marks from the no mint. My 1888 O has the clashed O right above the first 8 and slightly left of center.

Without good, detailed, up close pictures, no one is going to be able to help you.

The O you are seeing above the 8 can not be a MM. The MM would be clashed by the wheat stalks of Liberty's head piece.

stmpcol like I posted in the other thread, its not a ask a question site, it is a site that you can go to get information on specific VAM's. Most of the guys that run that site are on different forums and they answer questions there. I have posted some pictures there just a couple days ago and will be doing so again today with the VAM-17

Thanks Becky, Thank God I'm retired, this is not a hobbie but a full time second job. But I think I'm getting hooked.

You are welcome VAMming can be very addictive. Do you have some time to spend looking? Then hop over to http://www.ashmore.com/vamupdate/index.htm click on "Images for all updated VAMs", sit back and enjoy the show. There are a ton of pictures and it takes a while to load, but it is so worth it

When you are ready for some new material, give us a hollar, there is more
