With great respect and deference to Moe145's efforts in establishing the pattern of such threads, I hereby present the
28 Days of Morgans thread.
Here are the ground rules: Each day, starting today, December 14th, one specific year of
Morgan dollar mintage will be presented, in numerical order starting with 1878. All branch mints go with their year of issue. Posters are encouraged to offer their Morgans of the appropriate year on the day that year comes up. We continue, one mintage year every day, until January 10, 2011, which will be for 1921 Morgans. Something
big is coming on the 10th.
This is a thread about
Morgan dollars. Not about the quality of your photographs, or about the quality of your coins, but about
Morgan dollars. Every coin, from P01 through MS69, is welcome. I will be posting my "slicks" in this thread. We're bragging, but as a group, not as individuals.
If you miss a day, you are welcome to post late. Please do not post early.
That's the rules.
There is, in my opinion, only one way to start this thread. CCF member, my friend and fellow CCF Moderator Bryan1315 (who also has a substantial lead in overall CCF Post Count

) was afforded a singular honor recently. He was privileged to be the discoverer of the first new 1878 B1 Reverse Morgan variety in over 40 years, an event which pretty much shook up the
VAM establishment and will be deservedly known as the most important discovery in recent years. It is my great pleasure to begin this thread with Bryan's #2 All-Time B1 Reverse Registry Set (an accolade which will immediately become #1 when they choose to recognize Bryan's new VAM-85):
First and foremost,

Here we go. The first post is Bryan's; a few of my own will follow.
