Today I found a coin that has a 6 above and under the 6 on a Seated Liberty dime. I cannot find anything on it. Can someone here steer me towards any info on this coin?

I don't know anything about liberty dimes but I can tell you a picture would probably be a great help to people trying to help you with it.

The problem is that I can't scan fine enough to see the doubled date.

Hi wild_catt
Is your dime a large O ?
There is a doubled date listed in Breens for the 1856-O large O variety .
Breens # 3297 listed as scarce at the time this info was published.

I am unsure how to tell if it is a large O or not.

Hi wild_catt
Take a good pic of the whole reverse of the coin, and while your taking pics one of the obverse would be cool too !!
Dont worry about trying to show the doubling, just take the best pic that you can of the whole coin.
We will see if we can help you determine if its the large O .

I can see the pic, but in its enlarged version it is extremely pixelated, and to small to tell in the normal view.

You can see it under as well as above? It appears just an RPD, listed in the new CherryPickers Guide. FS-10-1856o-2301, Greer-101, it says it is paired with a large O mintmark. Can you also see anything above the 5? Pricing shows $25 in VG vs. $10 normal, $50 in F vs. $12, $75 in VF vs. $23 in the Cherrypickers Pricing. So approximately 3 times the normal value. Scarce is actually meant as more of a "common-rare" The scale is R-1 Common R-2 not so common R-3 Scarce R-4 Very scarce (76-200 known) R5 Rare (31-75 known) R6 Very Rare (13-30 known) R-7 Extremely Rare (4-12 known) R-8 Unique (1-3 known)
