I had a chance to update my pictures of my 7070 US Type set. As I mentioned in a separate post about my Lincoln set, I used two 100W Edison bulbs and got much better pics and better color. The 7070 is tough to photograph - the mix of different types of coins (brown copper, bright silver) can really be tricky.

There's only one upgrade in the set since my last pictures - an 1857 Dime in XF.

You can see the pics by clicking the link in my signature line.

Nicely done on the pics! My fave is your 1872 Seated dollar. What did it grade?

Thanks, everyone!

I got the 1872 Seated dollar from another forum member - I don't think it quite makes XF - I would grade it a high VF, probably a VF-35. It has nice toning and is among my favorites also!

I thought that the 7070 had Gold Coin pages. Is this not the case? Because that would make it much more attractive for me to collect.

Really enjoyed looking at this one!

There is an optional gold page that you can add to the 7070. I don't have the bucks to work on that right now, unfortunately - especially now that gold has gone to the moon!

I saved your 7070 as a reference point for my own type set collection.
I have a long way to go before I can complete mine...Thanks KenKat!

Nice pictures! I am working on this same set, although I have not determined how aggressively I will pursue nicer coins. The price point(s) can be frightening.

Awesome collection. Saw your posts here a month or so ago and was moved to start my own set. Have a good start on the nickels. Congrats again...

I think I really want to start a 7070 because I don't know very much about the coins that go into it. I could learn a lot...

I think you've motivated me to do a 7070. By the way, nice choice for the Morgan type. 81s (if my eyes don't deceive me)is a great choice (and generally the best) for overall strike and eye appeal. Nice work!

I got so sidetracked in the other thread with the Lincolns that I never went back to look at your 7070!

What a beautiful set! That would be enough to motivate anyone to do a set of their own. Hmmmm.
