Thanks for asking me to help - but - we need much more info than the fact that the coin is copper and a link to an information site about the Acropolis. Photos of both sides would allow us to make a positive ID, but even some description of what you can see on each side of the coin, as well as its size and weight, would lead us in the right direction. Chances are, too, that the coin is bronze rather than pure copper.

Hmm, don't think that any modern Greek circulation coin shows the Acropolis as a whole. The 20 drachmes coin http://(131231) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed /countries/img4/77-133.jpg featured the Temple of Athena Nike on the Acropolis, but that was a Cu-Ni piece. And the 10 euro coin issued in 2008 shows the Acropolis with the new museum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro_g...2008_coinage but that is a silver piece which was not issued at face ...

Without seeing a picture of the coin it's going to be difficult to ID it for you. Was the coin found in your country? Is it a large coin or small? If I were to hazards a guess I would think it's not a Greek coin, but a Roman Provincial coin with a greek inscription.
