Just wanted to show off my collection so far. Still has a lot of holes in it, but I'm getting there. Progress is a lot slower now. Some of these dates are incredibly hard to locate. I would love to go all the way to 2008, but dates after 2001 are next to impossible, if not entirely impossible, to locate. For some reason though, 2003 Philly cents that are mildly off center are relatively easy to find. So for now, I'm concentrating on pre-2001 dates. At any rate, I have had a blast hunting these down! It's been sort of a pet project! Hopefully these pics aren't too big that it makes the page slow to load. Please let me know if they are too big. Edited by cwb1877 12/22/2010 05:00 am

I have about 5 or so 'crazies' like that in pennies, nickels and dimes, but man, that collection swamps mine! No wonder it is a 'sort of a pet project'!
Thanks for sharing.

Quote:There was a 2007 LMC on ebay 3 or 4 months ago about 30% off center that was graded went for $180.00 I remember that coin! I watched it and considered bidding on it because I knew that post 2001 dates were rare. But at the time, I didn't know how rare. In hindsight, I should have taken the bidding to the moon, but I lost my nerve when the bidding hit a $100 and then went over. D'OH! Oh well...they say hindsight is 20/20.

That's an amazing set! Very impressive. Lots of fun and an attainable goal to actually fill in those wholes in a reasonable amount of time. I'm sure you got some real deals on some of those.

Thanks guys! robbudo, Believe it or not, your set of error Indian cents is partly what inspired me to put this set together. When I saw your set I thought that was the coolest thing that all the dates had "something wrong" with them! It makes your set really interesting to look at (not that I don't enjoy slobbering all over a "normal" set). LOL!

OK I have to ask, where did you get all of them? Buy, rolls or find in change. Been searching coins for about 14 years and never found one of those.
Very nice set.

Quote: OK I have to ask, where did you get all of them? I got nearly all of them on ebay. I got the 1987 from a member here on CCF. It was amongst the first few that I acquired. I always check my local coin dealers and other sites like Heritage as well. Quote: I've got a 1999-D Off center. Do you have pics? Perhaps you'd be interested in selling it?
