How many CC uncirculated hoard coin dates were put out there for sale by GSA. My info is 10, 1878 through 1885 and 1890 & 1891. Is this correct. Rick

There was also one example each of the 1889, 1892 and 1893. The 1889 has surfaced in it's GSA holder but the whereabouts of the other two are unknown. Most people believe they were cracked out early on and submitted for TPG grading before the premium value of the GSA holders was understood.

Actually I believe two of the three single example coins are known in their holders.

I would love to know the source of the info on the second single (I am a GSA CC dollar collector, both coins and reference materials). In the 2010 book "Carson City Morgan dollars" by Crum, Ungar and Oxman the authors in all their research were only able to locate the 1889 which surfaced in 2008 and was graded by NGC MS62 Dpl. I know of no published report of either of the other two being known. These two coins would be spectacular rarieties if still in their GSA hard case.

This is the only numbers I can find on the GSA hoard

Order forms from both of the GSA sales

When looking at those numbers I think its crazy that 84.6% of the total mintage of 1884-CC were found in the GSA hoard. I guess that's why its so hard to find circulated examples of this date
