Testing out my new camera set up here. Let's see how you do against PCGS. (There's a scratch on the front of the holder that slightly blurs the 'R' in TRUST)

Great pics! ....especially for thru-slab!

Not sure if PCGS dinged this coin 1pt for the weak reverse, if they were in a bad mood that day they could.

MS-63, If they didn't ding the coin for the weak left reverse wheat then they certianly did (or should have) for the chatter on the rim at 9 oclock on the obverse.

MS-64 RD.. Beautiful coin.

Are the dark smudges on the reverse on the holder?

Overall, you were little too tough on this one.

Those brown spots are on the coin but slight spottiness won't kick a nice cent out of MS-65. Even the PCGS Photograde example of MS-65 is blotched up. I think the reverse photo threw the most people off, the reverse is very slightly mushy but not as bad as the photo shows.

Or PCGS was a little to liberal.

Notice the luster in the full slab pic. Little hits and dings are forgiven in favor of lusterous, eye appeal.

I'll try later to get some other pictures, this was the first time I tried photographing a Lincoln so it's possible that I could do better.

Here's some new pics. These ones really show the luster. Also now the scratch on the holder is obscuring the 'T' in TRUST.

If it weren't for the obverse, right field hit and reverse stains this would be a 66.

My problem with the original picture is that the lighting was too even, which is fine for circulated coins, but really hides the luster on BU coins.

Not to mention through slab pics are tough because of the reflections. I've never tried it, but I hear car headlight polish and white mineral oil can help with slab pics.
