In 2001, Australia celebrated it's Centenary Of Federation,(COF). To mark the occasion, the Royal Australian Mint put out some very unique 50¢ and 20¢ coins.

There were 10 different COF 50¢ coins and 9 different COF 20¢ coins, and in that year there was also the standard 20¢ platypus coin as well as a Donald Bradman commemorative 20¢.

The Aussie 'standard' 50c piece has the Australian Coat of Arms (COA) on the reverse.
