Has anyone here done business with usacoinshop.com? I just want to make sure they're reputable before I buy anything from them.

Some of their stuff just seems too good to be true.

1 Oz. Silver rounds for $16.59?!?!

I found this on their website:
PLEASE NOTE. Our website will be temporarily closed for business as of 6/15/10 for much needed updates.

I was looking at the prices myself, and if those prices stood, they would have to deliver my order via a 53 foot trailer.

Good catch, AyeJay. $17 dollar silver....ah....the memories. Those were the days. Seems like it was just a few months ago, doesn't it? Wait...shoot. It was just a few months ago.

Yes Mitch, those were the days, I wish it could have waited another few years to fly off the hook though. I really would like to see a steep correction in Jan or Feb. Will have about 12k freed up to slap toward silver at that point.

I remember my very first purchase to this day from my local bank. My aunt was a regional manager for a major bank chain, and she gave me a 1996 SAE that they sold at the bank for
Christmas. I had only collected Pre-65 silver up to that point from circulation and the occasional roll hunt.
The beauty of it blew me away and I called the bank and asked how many they had left and how much they were.
$7.00 each, and they had 400. I drove to town, walked up to the teller and told her I wanted all the SAEs they had. She came back, laughed, and said we have 400 sir, how many do you want again?
I said, bring them out, take it out of my savings and let's call it a day. That smile turned into bug eyes lol. Just so happened to be the key year. I still have every one of those and have not turned my back on silver since then.

Good story you lucky dog. I turn thirty-one on January 11. I remember as a kid getting silver eagles for $7 a pop. I never bought out my bank though! ;) As a matter of fact, I only have a couple from that price. When I was in the Marine Corps I didn't collect a single coin, even though I had plenty of money (I was single...all my money went to beer and chasing women). I only got serious about silver last year so I feel a little behind the curve even though I have a decent stash. I do have a 6 year back-pay check coming from the VA pretty soon...and I'll have a nice little chunk to buy with.

I wish we'd see a strong correction, however I don't know if I can count on that. I've been hoping it stays relatively low so I can get more but I think I'll be buying at $30. I do predict $100 silver so I think I'll be ok. $1000.00 face bag, here I come! ;) Whenever you spend that 12K let me know what you think your gonna get (ASEs, junk, etc..). Or do you already have it spent in your mind, like I do?

I kinda have it set, but just not sure. From a complete silver investment standpoint, I am not the smartest investor. The most effective thing to do would be to buy 5 and 10 oz generic bars, as they are the cheapest way to go, especially in quantity. However, the collector mentality that I have had since childhood, doesn't allow me to do this. Junk silver is out of the equation for me. I watch the ads in the local papers for Estate auctions with coins listed, and do very well acquiring great Morgan/Peace dollars, Halves, Dimes and Quarters for spot or less at these with weekly disposable income. My last purchase being two rolls of Mercury dimes for 85 each.
I'm primarily going for 10k in bullion coins from the Perth Mint, Some 2011 SAEs, Mexican Libertads, Britannias, continuing with the Canadian Wildlife series, etc. I really love the design on some of the Foreign bullion coins, and it satisfies the collector in me to have a collection of different items. I do plan to buy at least 20 of each kind, so I can get the first level of discount per coin.

The remaining 2k will be for a mix of different size and design bars. I'll keep you posted, and post some pictures when I have it all in hand.

My own opinion, I think you're quite ahead of the curve. A majority of people still don't know, or understand the potential silver's future has. I am not planning on selling anytime in the next 15-20 years anyhow, let it crash if it has to, I can just get more, cheaper!

I did some number crunching early at current prices. Going the way of buying several different types of Bullion, I will lose approx 17 ounces of silver with a 12k purchase. Essentially, If silver were to rise to 50 per oz, I'm losing a potential $340.00. I'll accept that to have a very diverse amount of silver over a boring stack of the same generic bar.
