I don't see any wear on the coin, I say MS63.

Shows what I know. Picture grading is especially hard for me. I'll change my guess to MS62 then...

I'm thinking ms64. The cheek seems a little messy to me. The fields look pretty clean.

Let's see...hmmmmm...a few dings in her cap, bag marks or wear on her cheek and breast feathers (probably bag marks), good rims and very nice luster. MS64 I wonder if NGC will be a little tougher on her because she's a 1921. Beautiful Morgan Christina!

I be thinking they probably nailed you for the cheek marks and I will say MS63 but if it were not for the hits on the cheek, this would be a MS65 coin.Beautiful coin,Christina.

I'll say MS63 due to dings on hat and cheek marks
Very nice Morgan

Glyth, what made you guess XF45 initially? Just curious...

1921 Morgans use entirely different dies than the previous years. I'm sure Glyth saw the weak hair, and what looks like wear on the eagle's breast, and came to the obvious conclusion. Having been thru 100 hozillion 1921's, I see a pretty good strike and an obvious MS coin. If you can see lines at all in the largest bottom wreath leaves on a 1921, it's a good strike. MS64 because of the cheek, a shame because the reverse is crowding 66. That's the Way of the Morgan, though.

Nice coin ChristineM, and excellent photographing, tell us how you did it. I see an Morgan with better than average strike for a 1921 with velvety Fields, the reverse is as usual with Morgans just gorgeous, and better than the obverse. with the bagmarks and chatter on the cheeks I would Say Ms-64. to-bad you couldn't do a split grade on this one because the reverse would pick it up a point or two. I can see were the cartwheel was in the photograph when you took it.

Did you take the pic directly above or at a slight angle to pick up the cartwheel?

You guys are good! It did come back a 64..I wasn't expecting more than a 63 due to the cheek.
As for the pics, I take the pic directly above the coin and I try to use just sunlight whenever possible (no lamps, etc.) I then use Microsoft Picture to crop and set it to the size that I want.
