Go for it! I know that you've wanted one! With the definition in the feathers you should be looking at a VFine, possibly an Extra Fine coin. I've seen them like this graded both ways. As for value, I don't have my books handy. Maybe Metalman will chime in for you!

Hi Tim

I see the coin as a VF-25 maybe 30 in hand the details are there for this grade.it will not make EF unless some of the loss of detail on the breast and tail can be attributed to a strike weakness which was all things considered fairly common to the series.

Value is rough right now on these , they are a sleeping giant and are beginning to stir,, this coin could if on ebay top out above 50 bucks possibly as high as 75

For the grade I'd say F15.To much wear to go higher.

I haven't looked at the other responses yet, but I'd have to say F15. In my opinion, there is a little too much wear in the tail for a VF grade. Very nice coin, though.

Well I missed it of course. It was on ebay. Starting bid was $30.00 and "Buy it Now" for $34.00. Looking in the Red Book, I figured it was worth about $34.00, so I was waiting for the last second to bid the minimum amount of $30.00, but someone did a "Buy it Now" at the last 2 hours. I guess it was not meant to be. I will keep my eyes out for another one.

Thanks, all ya all, for your opinions.
