Got the BIG book yesterday. Maybe I should have started with one a little easier. Can you have more attributes than the book says and still have the same VAM? What about less since the die would have to change some during it's use. Or is the book LAW? Check out the eagles right wing. It's completely detached from his body almost all the way to his shoulder. Since I don't have another to compare it to, is this normal for this coin?

can you post a picture of the Obverse also? I will try to help you attribute the coin, also do a check to see if you see any doubling on the Obverse (mainly LIBERTY on the cap, stars, date and letters on the Obverse, and check everywhere on the reverse and just write down what you see). Pretty much a VAM has to have all the attributes listed to be considered that specific VAM, one of the attributes and not the others will not be considered that specific VAM. One thing on a coin may not be spectacular it takes all the different things together to make it a certain VAM

Here is the obverse Bryan. What you won't see is, E PLURIBUS UNUM completely doubled. L I B E R T slightly doubled to left. Upper cotton boll shows some doubling. No doubling on date or stars that I can see. Nothing on the reverse except the gap between eagle and wing.
