My local coin shop got is a raw 1995 double die.
I have never seen one of these before, looks pretty cool.

This one is in UNC condition (red) very good eye appeal.
Negatives I see are hint of a finger print (reverse) and a small
spot on the rim (reverse). If I had to guess I would say it looks
MS 64

Questions
Is it a rare hard to find coin?

Is there a very big collector base

Would acetone take off the hint of a finger print?
- I also ordered some verdi care today, does that work for prints

I am thinking I could get this coin for less then $50.
would that be a good deal and should it be slabbed.

I have read they are " eazy to find "
I'll be darned if id ever find one.
Two exist 95 and 95-D
the 95 is doubled in liberty
the 95-d is doubled in date and in god we trust
Guys have roll searched for years and never found etherone.

the 95 is worth 40-60 bucks in ms-65 (higher in better grades slabbed)
the 95-d $200-300 bucks higher in bettr grades

just from what I have seen during bidding on ebay estimates

Watch out for the machine doubled 1995. I found one its doubled in liberty but not nearly as dramtic

No and no. Fingerprints are etched into the coin forever if they are not addressed immediately

I would say it depends on how much less than $50. Either way, it doesn't sound like it would be a rip off.

I wouldn't worry about getting it slabbed unless you think it would hit a really high grade and you plan on selling it.

Thanks all of you .. for the good information, gives me a lot to think about.
coppertop .. that is a good link .. very nice looking coin .. I am thinking that would be
a good buy at $60 .. I might have to give it a try.

The one I am looking at, is the 95. The "B" in liberty was very noticeably doubled. Other letters too and
some of in god we trust .. I always see more .. when I give it the second look.

Having the hint of a finger print might make it a coin I would not want .. I never liked prints on
nice looking coins, I was hoping there might be a good way to get it off. Maybe if I could get him down to the $30 range ..

Of course there is always another coin .. he did get a double struck Roosevelt also ..

Sorry: That is just a normal coin. It was on a search that made me think it was. I'll remove the link.
