Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a website that has a lot of information on VAMS, or other Morgan dollar information? I have used the VAMWorld site, but are there others that give basic information about VAMS in general?

Thanks

I Believe there is, but they never come up when you Google them, and I forget there site...There not as good as VW for pictures to compare to...But still it takes a lot of time to be familiar with all these darn vams...Still there are some talented people here who already have a great understanding,, and know how to cut down the time it takes to research a VAM...Post something we can help....
On the other side..one can buy all the books and such to have on hand info and subscribe to the updates....it just depends on the lenght one desires to go in understanding this subject....You either buy and study.the knowledge..OR....Steal knowledge by researching and following others treasure hunting and whats been described.....Its not about just saying its a VAM, but seeing why...Sorry I can't be of more help...

By the way, the "SSDC and Coin Universe" may have info but I think in general those sites reference back to VAM World...but there is another site...last time I found it it wasn't as good a reference for studying vams...

Oh, leave us hanging Bryan.

Any hints as to what it will be named, or who is constructing it?

I can only imagine that it might be something good as I sense that Bobby is also eluding to the same thing?

sorry let me rephrase that. I have heard on a few other sites there were some information sites in the works besides just VW for pictures. I have no idea how long nor how far along they are now nor do I know about the follow through on if they will actually do it or not. Just certain things that I have seen discussed over there

VW is by a large margin the most useful store of information about Morgan dollar varieties. There is, however, no real reason for it to be the *only* source.

What sort of information are you looking for, Canadian-Banknotes?

Go have a look at my post on Page 21 of the "28 Days of Morgans" thread. It'll give you an idea of where we're going with Morgans at CCF.

I was hoping I could get some basic information about starting to find VAMS, and the history of them.

Gotcha. Chances are, someone else will have the time to do a nice "Intro to VAMs" post before I'm able - I'm getting ready for work - but if not, I will do one for you myself tonight when I get home.
