For one thing, those are horrible pictures, I can't tell the grade or condition. I wouldn't bid on it either. It's a very common coin and lots of folks already have them in MS. They're fairly inexpensive.

Quote: How do I take better pictures? Can I use a scanner? If you go through the Coin Photography forum, you'll find a ton of great information in there on how to improve coin pictures. Very worthwhile reading in my opinion. Here's a link to that forum: http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...?FORUM_ID=81

the main thing I think may be the problem is the pictures. They are way to small to see the details of the coin and there is no way any coin that you can't see will ever bring what they are worth. You can take them with a camera or scanner it doesn't matter but they will have to be better than those or you will never be able to sell a coin for what its worth. Another thing from what I can see in the pictures it doesn't look uncirculated at all. You may want to take pictures straight down looking at the coin instead of at a angle and take it out of that PVC contaminated bag its in to take the pictures. Crop the pictures to just show the coin instead of the table its sitting on will make the picture bigger also. here is one of my auctions to show you what a coin for sale should look like to get more bidders http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...330498825924 so as you see the pictures doesn't have to be great just good enough to see the coin

Coinstar, the pictures are pretty good, but you should use a bit less light.

I will snap a picture of one with my phone. I am sure the iphone4 has a better camera than my droid2 because its only 5MP and the camera really stinks on this phone in my opinion but maybe it will help get some tips on what to do Edit: this is about as good as I can get with the camera on my phone, these things weren't made for pictures

1) You have 3 negative feedbacks from 3 different buyers. 2) ALWAYS remove the coin from any holder before taking pictures. Easy enough to remove from the bag so why not? 3) Take your pictures perpendicular to the coin like Bryan did (pretty good phone pics there Bryan BTW). Your obverse picture makes the coin looked like it could have been cleaned. 4) Crop your photos so you get the most "bang for the buck" from your pictures size. 5) List at or near the average, recent selling price or roll the dice and start at 0.99 to get people interested. Busy auctions attract buyers because want to click on the link to see why there's so many bids. It looks like your camera is pretty good actually. You just a little practice taking coin pictures. Look through the forum at some members pictures and ask questions. Definately spend some time reading in the photography forum section here....it rocks. ...and don't be mad at me...you asked. LOL

To add to the other good comments: First thing (other than the pics) that jumps out at me is that you're asking over $40 for a raw, common-date Morgan. Even though you state it's uncirculated; current Greysheet Bid for this date in MS60 is $29. If you had flashy pics that showed a problem-free, choice MS piece you might get more bids at that price but realistically a BIN of $29 + $2.50 shipping would look much more reasonable to prospective bidders.

Quote: 1) You have 3 negative feedbacks from 3 different buyers. I didn't even look at his feedback like I usually do but yes this is a major problem when bidders see this, especially when it states you let a auction go to the end and the person won and you refused the sale because you didn't get what you wanted from the sale, that looks really bad on a seller
