Found this about a month ago stuffed in the middle of a roll while searching pretty sure it is PMD but something kept me from putting it in my junk pile. I think it is a hammer job just not sure.

The first one looks like it might be something but the other one looks like PMD.

The first coin is a genuine error coin. I believe these are called 'indents' and are the result of a planchet falling into the coining chamber partially covering another planchet being struck. The coin is scratched which will definitely affect value, but it's genuine. no doubt about it.

The second coin was damaged by what looks like snips of some sort.

Everyone
Thanks for the quick responses. I looked up indent error and that appears to be what it is. I was almost certain it was a hammer job as I found 2 within a couple rolls of each other, the other is also a 2000 and in better shape (I took pictures of the wrong one).
I really thought the other one was going to be a genuine strike-thru. The way the bottom was not sharp and the cut area has the bubbly zircalloy thing going, thought maybe feeder fingers, oh well. Thanks again, I learn something new every time I post or even just read the posts.

I was wrong on the first one. I looked at it quickly and missed that it was struck out of the collar. It appears to be a broadstrike with an indent. Sorry Kie, glad the others picked me up.

no ones perfect, which is why I usually let 2 or three people reply before I answer back. I actually thought the first coin was a garage job just couldn't figure out how they did it. and the second one was from the mint, as usual I got it backwards
