1898- solid G but rim damage.
1882- AG-G pitted & scratched.

Agreed. As for value, perhaps nominal to a beginner collector, but they are damaged, low grade and common dates. They may have sentimental value if you got them from your father or grandfather or perhaps found them or purchased them when you were a young kid.

I too say the same about the grades but the prices are what you would get if trying to sell to a dealer. They in turn would put about $3 to $5 on them. I have not seen an Indian Head cent selling for $1 in a long, long time.
