today (1-19-11) I went to sell some old gold, which I have done before, but my dad gave me some old coins, I went to a coin place and the guy only bought 6 of them and left me with the rest, basically some mexico coins

-4 diez pesos date:1981.
-2 $5 date:1981
-5 $20 date:1981 and 182
-3 $100 date:1984

and also some american coins

-2 half dollars dated:"1776-1976"
-1 half dollar dated:1974
-2 one dollars dated:1972
-1 one dollar dated:"1776-1976"

so I went back to the gold place because she said they bought coins as well, so she look through them and said nothing was silver etc, but she did look up these 4 nickels I had , and told me there Henning nickels which there is a amazing market for them. So I came home and googled it myself. so the dates on them are 1946, 1946, 1947, and 1953. those were the dates they were supposedly counterfeited by Francis Leroy Henning, is there a way to tell if there really Hennings?

some of the henning issues are rather hard to identify, so we would need pictures in order to tell but if the are in E Pluribus unum is looped on the reverse the odds are that its a henning nickel

One of this sites issue is sometimes when just typing a single letter it will automatically
change the letter to a word like "U" will be changed to "you" and "R" is changed to "are"

so when XavierOfGreen posted
" pictures in order to tell but if the are in E Pluribus unum is looped on the reverse"

This site change the "R" he typed to the word "are in the sentence

He is saying some (maybe all) Henning nickels have the loop at the lower right "leg" of the "R" in pluRibus

Christina, so far I have seen prices @ $20 to $30 each. Not to shabby for a 5 cent coin. WOLF

It's the left leg of the "R." Not all Henning nickels had it, but chances are if someone glanced at them and called them Hennings, that's what they saw. Think of it more as a "hole" than a "loop."
