I've seen so many 1990-2004's (roughly that time period) with fading lettering on the reverse. That's pretty sad. If they're fading now, what will they like be in 10 years?

Actually if you get enough experience digging through bags of cents you will be able to sort them easily into four groups...

1960s have higher relief yet less detail on the head.

1970s are slightly flatter design yet still copper.

1980s have a dish-like design on both sides and look 'funny'.

1990s and 2000s have a flattened design that's cleaner than the 80s.
