Is there any one else out there that roll searches Canadian pennies and holds onto the 2006 CPS "P"(magnetic). I have almost 2 rolls so far. I know I only have 1 cent invested in them. What do you think.

WildBill: I thought so, from your Nickel post. I'm completely across the country, so I guess it's an issue with distribution.

I'm sure we'd all love to collect those.

I think that's the most common variety of 2006 cent, right? If it is, I don't think there is any reason to collect a lot of them. The difference between a 73 SB and 73 LB quarter is HUGE ... but the SB is still only worth 25 cents today.

Since my roll searching adventure has started in Oct of 2009. I have to date found 2 x 2006P magnetic cents and 7 x 2006 No P No ML Magnetic cents. I sold off the first 5 No P No ML Magnetics that I found before the market had dropped out and settled at current market values. I used the funds to purchase my metal detector. I collect for the enjoyment of collecting...not as a investment. To me...selling the coins to purchase something that I enjoy as much as collecting coins was a good decision. Not to mention that metal detecting has helped me add to my coin collection. Now...I have 2 hobbies that I enjoy.

Looking forward to my next find. Off to get a box of nickels. Have a good day.

I've never found a "P", or the famous no logo magnetic. I think the east gets better rolls to search ;)
