I am looking through my coins that I had as a kid and wondering if this would carry any premium? I have not dipped into these since around 1979, but with no printing The problem I am assuming is that it is blank on both sides, so just a blank planket. also, I have a bunch of 1943 cents, I am currently soaking them in acetone, which I hear alot of talk about. Is this safe on steel cents?

I dont think you want to soak in acetone , But more of a dip and cotton swab lightly rub over trouble areas.
I never had luck with steel cents comming bright shiney with acetone. It gets off some dirt but once the zinc turns dark greyish pewter color they dont want to turn shiney steel silver agian.

Cent planchets are worth a few dollars and yours is pleasingly spot- and fingerprint-free.

I'll try the dip and swab, but they have been in my closet for 30 years. I remember them as a kid being not so shiny, but much worse now. Any ideas on how to clean them and keep them that way would be great?

A blank has no rim and a planchet has a rim. From what I remember, which is not much, blanks are harder to come by than planchets. But to answer your question about a value, somebody else has to reply.

Umm yeah...the word is "planchet" - pronounced "PLAN-chit."
Second - printing is done with ink. There is no printing on our coins. Words are minted into coins.
Yours is a rolled 'type 2' planchet worth $1-$3 as-is. If you clean it, you'll ruin what value it does have.

And my anal brain had to clean up the background and add transparency. I popped it in your post because I wanted to see it on a gray background. Feel free to swipe it back if you like it.
