Just restored some dateless Buffalo nickels, all with mintmarks, so I just restored the date only. Here are some of the better ones I found:

1913-S TY.2
1913-D TY.2 (2)
1914-D
1915-D (2)
1918-D (3)
1918-S (3)
1924-D
1925-D (2)

Nice finds. 1914-D is a surprisingly common restored date.

Nice finds. The one I seem to have most trouble finding when I restore is 15-S. I have plenty of 13-S type II, but 15-S is really tough! I wonder why that is? Or maybe it's just law of averages and 15-S isn't on my side of the averages.

Oh and 21-S is very hard too, but I think there are two reasons- 1) 21S is more likely to not have lost the date so would have been pulled from partial date lots and 2) you can pluck a dateless 21S out of a lot based on die characteristics and some people know this so dateless mint marked lots often don't have a 21S in them for that reason.

I have found a few 21-S's , one restored real nice, bold date.15-S is tough.
w1, I use nic a date. Not the greatest stuff, but white vinegar would be another alternative (extended soaks)

Might take you some digging but try the SEARCH tab at the top of the page. Try things like Buffalo nickels, Nickadate, Date restoring, etc.
