It's extremely rare, since Morgan dollars were not minted with that mint mark in that year. Counterfeit.

That is the CC mintmark for "Chinese Counterfeit", not "Carson City"

I read superdave's comment "It's extremely rare" but not the rest because I thought it was fake. so I did more research and was right.... then I read the rest of his comment saying its fake. lol. maybe I should read all of what people write.

In this case, CC stands for Chinese Counterfeit! A few of the other non-existent CC's I've seen include so-called Trade dollars dated: 1795, 1885 and 1879-S.

Correction ... there was an 1885 Trade dollar ... well, five or so of them as I recall. I saw two of them sold in a local gun auction some years ago. I wonder if the Chinese accept orders for one's birth year?

Brilliant!

I want to be the only guy on my block with a 1959-CC Morgan dollar.

That is a wonderful idea. The Morgan dollar missing years. Who wouldn't want a 1905 Morgan dollar? Or 1906? Or for that matter, 1907, 1908, 1909. 1910, 1911, 1912 (key date), the ever popular 1913 and the plentiful 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918, 1919 (key date) 1920 (another key date). I want these all in deep mirror proof like.
