I decided to try to test my picture-taking capabilities (and your grading capabilities) by putting up my least photogenic coin here. A lustrous slabbed woodgrain brown weakly stuck from a worn-out obverse die 1921-S Wheat cent. The closer you guys grade against what NGC gave it, the better I did. Good luck!

(The first picture has some glare lines at 2 o'clock)

MS-64 BRN, you're right this coin is not photogenic,at least in this photograph and under the lighting that was used.

The thing is that this is the best that it possibly came out after at least 15 tries. At normal angles and normal lighting that other slabbed LWCs come out crystal clear under, this one is defeated by its extreme woodgraining and dark color, making the softly struck features nearly completely obscured.

I can see where your light is focused, where it is and the angle its on is creating shadows behind all of the relief details. The pic below was modified with adaptive lighting and contrast,I could have and probably should have adjusted the color to put the brown back in.

This take appears to show a little more detail on the back of Lincoln's head.

Looks like we did good. Yeah, I love the woodgrain cents, they add an interesting character to old wheat cents.

That's a SWEET 21-S! Most people won't appreciate that coin. I like what metalman did with the picture. I'm sure that's closer to how the coin looks in hand.
