I am looking for a comparison guide with photos depicting die stages in modern U.S. Coins. I have looked and found nothing. Is there one around?

Thanks.

No luck huh? Maybe my request is a little complicated. What about just a few examples. Whatever you got.

I'm not sure exactly what your looking for. Die stages? If yor are looking for explanations of how dies are made, That guy Coppercoins, Chuck, has a few books out on Lincoln Cents and in one of them on pages 23, 24, 25 he explains the Die Making Process with photos.
If he reads this post, he may give you a lot more details.

I have a work in progress one. I still haven't found an EDS on a 1964 Cent.

The best spot to check is on the L on LIBERTY next to the rim.
Here is one I put togher for the die dot on the reverse of the 1955 DDO:

On the reverse of the Memorial cent you can see die wear appear on the outside edge on the devices that get mushier as die ages.

A couple more you might like:

Here is probably the only example of a EDS die state on the 1963-D DDO

Usually the lower area of the 3 is weak/missing due to die state.
It probably doesn't answer your question exactly, but ask if I can fill in a missing blank or not?

Coop you are the freakin man! Thanks a bunch. This really helps me see the difference. My main problem was looking for die markers in the wrong stage and not really knowing the difference. Awesome. You rock.
