I sent two Morgans to ANACS on the 11th of this month. It arrived at the Austin,TX post office at 6am on the 14th where it has sat and still is now.Just wondering,is this normal procedure for ANACS and I'm wondering why it has not been picked up.I sent it Priority with signature Conformation. I can't see what difference it makes what tier you pay for it its just going to sit at the Post Office anyway. That's my rant for the day.

There's no guarantee that it isn't the Post Office not changing the entry in their computer - in fact, that's my bet for what's happened.

Terry, the P.O. is known for its lack of providing current data on the web site. I agree with Dave, and believe that it is more than likely already in ANACS's hands and the P.O. is late in posting data.

Dave,I guess that could have happened but when you sign for signature conformation the P.O. has to scan it and that updates the package I believe.I have an alert set if the package is signed for I get an email...no email yet. OK, I'll take you guys word for it and trust they have it. This is the first I have sent to ANACS so I wasn't sure.

I would contact ANACS and see what they have to say. If they don't have it yet, they might be able to contact the post office to see what's going on with it. I definitely would not just sit back and assume that your coins are where they're supposed to be. I had ordered a pantry from Sears and it was held up in Harrisburg, PA for a month. It never would have been found and delivered if I hadn't called Sears to find out what was going on.

My bet is on the Postal Service. I have ordered items with Delivery Confirmation and have received them days before they have even been entered into the system. Alternatively, I have sent items out that have been scanned as delivered when in fact they had only reached the recipient's post office. If ever I am going to have a stroke due to high blood pressure, it will be due to the US Postal Service. It gives new meaning behind the words, "going postal". [/rant and rave....]

My guess is a Post Office "failure to update". I too have had packages arrive that according to the P.O. search site were still in transit. Please let us know the outcome! Mike

Well, I just talked to ANACS and they have not received it. So I'm not sure what is going on with this package.ANACS said they will try to track it down tomorrow at the Post Office and let me know.

It seems like another PO screw-up to me. I wish you the best with this package Terry, and hopefully ANACS will find it at the PO, and that'll be it. If not, then could the PO have entered a package as received when it really wasn't?

fengk, Thanks,I hope they find it tomorrow also.I don't think the P.O. could have marked it received by mistake. It would only show received if they scan the code.Gezzz,my first package to ANACS and its already messed up.

Just received another call from ANACS and they NOW have my coins.Seems USPS liked my package so much they though they would just look at it for a while and not bother to put the Signature Conformation slip in ANACS's mail box. I'm just glad their safe and I don't have to go Thur the 6 month insurance hassle.

At least you didn't have some Postal employee rip off your coins, something which happened to me a long time ago. Happy that they're safe at ANACS. Now the real waiting begins.
