It appears from the last image it is just heavy die wear. The coin's rim is wearing away and so are the devices. When a coin wears away the rim, the devices disappear faster. If you have ever seen a pocket piece, they eventually look like a blank. Not a planchet, because a planchet has the rim. Just worth melt. Sorry. But thanks for the extra image.
