Looks like it could very well be brass plated, and is very similar to a few 1983's that I have that are strikenly golden yellow also. Anyone ever hear of any 64's that were brass plated? Maineman750 Pillar of the Community United States 3592 Posts	Posted 02/04/2011 09:16 am chuckster, look up the composition of cartridge cases and then look up copper pennies.Nearly identical...that's why I think it doesn't have to be a big error to get that color.They used cartridge cases for pennies back in 44-46 and you really can't tell.
