I see a lot of new silver coins with bright colors, like the Taiwan silver crown with the green frog - very nice coin .

Question please, it's color dyes on metal silver, so does the color fade over time or through handling? thanks

The only experience I ever had with colorized coins was the 1999 Colorized ASE but that wasn't a "offical mint" colorized coin. Had no problems with fading the whole 11 years I had it. Finally sold it in December when silver was at $30 an ounce along with a bunch of junk silver that I was holding on to.

NIC I love the Frog coin as well - since I refer to myself as a frog half the time. (I am half French )

I suspect that colorized coins would rapidly alter in appearance if circulated. Are you aware of any that actually circulate?

Canada km#510 25 cents 2004.
I know it's nickel plated steel but it's the only colorized circulation coin I've ever come across and it's definitely lost a lot of its color.
