found this one on ebay and I really like it. what would be a good price to buy it at based on the condition. returns are accepted.

I always check completed auctions to get an idea of current values. I don't like this one because it doesn't show the reverse....not a good sign. But the return policy is always a plus.

It shows the reverse further down in the listing. If you really like it I say go for it, but I think if you're patient you could get a nicer coin at a better price.

Note this line from the auction writeup:

Quote:
in F net VG condition.

He's giving it a Net grade. That means the coin has been cleaned or is otherwise ungradable; cheers for him for saying so, but you gotta know what you're looking at with auctions written this way.

I think you'll find the price will be higher when the auction closes.
Most of the bidding occurs in the last minute or two.

High starting prices are what I look for....in this case that's why there are no bids. But SuperDave is right...does look like it may have been cleaned now that I saw the pics below.

Cleaned, nice details though. Price maybe just a few dollars high. I'm not as particular about lightly cleaned coins as others are- to me it depends on the toning and eye appeal, and this coin has a lot of eye appeal to it. I'd like to see it at $25. You culd always offer that to him and see if he'll drop the price to that.

Flying Eagle cents are readily available. No need to just grab the first one that comes along.

The cent looks good for the opening bid, but no photograph of the reverse. I hate it when they don't show both sides of the coin. Good luck!

I would look for something with a clearer legend. It is a $30.00.
