Quote: what are average finds for small portrait queen cents and KG VI cents per box in the great white north? I pull on average 25 Young Elizabeths ( various 50s and 60s ) and 4 George VI ( mostly 50's, occasional 40's and I've gotten two 30's )

I usually pull about 5-10 young elizabeths and about 3-5 KG unless I am lucky thats in Buffalo I should feel pretty good about that then huh thanks always wondered if it was worth it to keep the young elizabeths

It is def worth it as our mint has the recall programs. All young elizabeths are disappearing with copper cents being pulled from circa to melt down. So pull them now before they turn out as hard to find as georges

Nice KGV nickel! I haven't found any KGV coins since I started roll hunting this year. I also get a kick out of find red cents in rolls. The oldest I've found so far that has a good amount of red is 1960.
With 1985 pennies it's the pointed 5 variety to look for. As a total guess I would say I run into a ratio of something like 300:1 Blunt:Pointed. I just found another 1985P5 in my 16th box that is in much better shape (EF) than the one above. I'll post a pic soon. The variety I would like to find next is 1965 v4 (Pointed 5, Large Beads). So far I've only found two 1965 v1 (Pointed 5, Small Beads) in 16 boxes.

Had to share my most recent box - picked up two from my local branch on Friday, and one was an RCM sealed box full of 2011 CPZ. The other box though... Some of these aren't in very good condition; ten Wheaties is a record for me (1910, 1918, 1941, 1942, 1947, 1947D, 1949, 1951D, 1953D, 1958D). I have never found KGV coins in roll hunting, so six in one box was overwhelming (1929, 1932, 1934, 1936x3)!! Throw in 15 KGVI and this my best box to date in terms of interesting finds! Off to update my signature!

Oh, it's a Bermuda 1 cent. Bermuda, Barbados and Bahamas all have pennies the same size as ours, so I find them next most often after US pennies.
