Question With Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC 55 S Weird Stamp And 87 P

vashe79 New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 02/10/2011 12:41 am Hi, I had a question about the 55 S stamping I think the pictures would best describe what I want to know the Mint mark just threw me off. and is this normal on the 87P coin In good we trust looks to be on the rim but the rest of the coin is center. Funny I went to the bank and got a 50 dollar bank bag and was surprise to see a Wheat penny pop up that I needed and then after looking at it that is what I found. Im a total novice to the whole coin scene any help would be great Here are the pics. To save space I couldnt include the whole coin. Report this Post to the Staff

It's a Philadelphia mint coin with an engraved mintmark. Why? I have no clue, I didn't do it - but that's what you have. Report this Post to the Staff
