This is the best comparison to the coin I have from coppercoins.com
I also see some doubling on the 1st 9 in the date
This coin will easily grade MS65 or better

Yours is not a doubled die. It doesn't have the separation lines, nor do you show the same areas as in the photos on my site, which indicates that you see nothing to photograph in the areas that would be important if you had the same doubled die as the one listed on the site. Another thing is that the shape of the top of the M of AMERICA is definitely not the same on your coin as in the photo listed on the site. A little tutorial: In order for you to have a listed doubled die EVERY single aspect of the doubling HAS to be there and it has to be IDENTICAL. You otherwise either have a different doubled die or not one at all. On your coin the former is the case - it's a normal 1909 cent.

Regarding the grade of your coin - it's not really possible to tell fromt he images what grade the coin is, but it appears to have strong hairlining, which indicates the coin is probably cleaned and is nowhere near MS65...but again, shots of the entire coin would determine that a lot better than these micrographs.

Another thing I want you to know is this:

I have nothing against anyone, and I have no bone to pick here. I just want you to know that I don't sugar coat responses - I basically tell it like it is. Please do not take offense to my responses. My firm belief is that it helps a lot more when people learn by being told exactly what they have straight-out rather than being passively led to believe what they have might not be exactly what they think they may or may not have. Get it? I just say it. I don't twinkle-toe around the bush about it...and it's nothing personal at all.

That would explain the difference in color compared to a coin I put of in the Grading Coin forum of my other 1909 v.d.b. I bought this off ebay in the late 90's for 5 bucks when ebay was in its infancy. I'm new to dealing with error coins and its proving to be not so easy with the amount of varieties there are but I'm persistent and will learn it. I appreciate your direct approach. Thanks
