I've been seeking info on this coin for awhile with no response. The closes thing I've found to it is VAM 8.From what I observed is doubling in the date,the"1",and the second "2",The "L" in Liberty doubles facing the rim. There's doubling at the forhead, nose, lip, chin, and neck. The reverse has doubling on the eagles neck. There is what I call a peel effect, down the eagle's right leg,and foot. The metal seems to have peeled and folded back into the coin while it was struck.Any info will be appreciated. You can follow this link for better pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/776698.../5435035771/

The pealing on the lower leg is a Lamination flaw. This happens if impurities, foreign matter were entrapped inside the metal when molten. This will later show up as a lamination flaw. Short version. As for the doubling can't really see any. Can you get a close up of these areas.

Thank you for the information.Does the lamination flaw change the value of the coin? I will try to post some better close ups within the next day.
