and the teller asks me if I wanted to buy some pennies from them. I told her I had about 30 boxes of them to look through at home already but what's the deal. So she proceeds to tell me this guy came in today with them and he found them in his grandpa's attic when they were cleaning out his house after he passed away last month.

Needless to say I came home tonight with a plastic bank bag with 100 rolls of cents in old faded fragile red/tan bank rolls.

Ya I used to order boxes of coins from this bank but haven't lately since they switched to Brinks. I have been dealing with the same tellers for about 8 years, so they know me pretty well! :)

I'm drooling already! You're a lucky duck to have a nice teller give you this news and a chance to buy them. I can hardly wait to see what you got.

That's similar to how my grandfather scored a nice chunk. One of the tellers called him up to say that someone had bought in 4 federal reserve bags full of rolls. Each roll was sorted and labeled by year and mint mark. Needless to say he was at the bank in 2 minutes.

Scary thought that our surviving family members may just dump our coins at a bank after all the work we put into acquiring them. Anyway, cant wait to hear what you find!
