I was tracking 3 that ended friday and now he has 3 more on there and they all look pretty good. This is a pretty hard VAM to find and all of a sudden he has 6 of them? The first ones he sold went for over 600 on the 1st one over 700 on the second and over 600 on the 3rd, you think maybe he's trying to make a killing and then run into hiding? or did he just find a stash somewhere? here is a link to the 3 he has on there as of now http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...search&fgtp=

yeah they are the shadiest of the shady there is no doubt and allot of people has been looking at this seller and has complained to ebay about their tactics but nothing seems to do any good. If people would do a little investigative work before buying they would see exactly what we are seeing and not buy anything from them. I have even seen a specific 1878 VAM that I had never seen in any publication or any website so I believe it may have been a new discovery of a die pair so it could have been a nice find but I would not bid on the coin just because I will not be one of the people that encourages this seller to stay in business

NGC alone has graded almost 80 VAM-11's in MS. Heritage has sold 8 in the last 2 months. I wouldn't call that particularly rare for a VAM. I suspect he's starting to search his rolls for VAM's - I've seen an increasing number of attributed auctions from him in the last few months.

Ok maybe I stretched it a little with the Rare description, it is one of the more pricey coins that I do not have in my collection yet and have looked for one to add to it. All that being said I still dont understand why he wouldn't take pictures of each coins attributes instead of just showinf the coin in the slab then closeups of a stock photo with the attributes

Remember, he's not operating from the same viewpoint as you or I. It doesn't matter at all to him whether he shows the actual coin in his auctions or not - he considers his customer demographic (and he's right) to be people who couldn't tell the pics apart anyways.
