Im not sure what this is called also anyone know of a good coin error book I can pick up. Thanks guys, BTW great site I love looking over all the posts.

Those are die cracks,very common on LMC's in that location.

Welcome! They're cracks in the old die. They come off the rim like that. No premium, really. Is that a 1983? Reason I ask is, they're notorious for these.

1982 Yeah I have seen quite a few of them and was not sure the the difference between trail die, and a die crack.
